The ceremony was beautiful and was more than we could imagine. It was so special to have all of our loved ones who traveled near and far to share that day with us. Everything about it was perfect. We are so blessed!

We left for our honeymoon the very next day and headed out on the road to California. Our first stop was Anaheim to visit Mickey and Minnie in Disneyland. We spent two fun-filled days in Disneyland and California Adventure. Our next stop was Laguna Beach where we spent a relaxing day on the beach, walking around town and an ocean view dinner at a fabulous French restaurant called C'est La Vie. On our way back to Phoenix we stopped in Santa Monica, Ca and walked around town enjoying the California weather and scenery.

Upon returning home, Matt immediately started working on Fast and the Furious 5 which was filming in Rice, CA. This was an awesome opportunity for him and he is proud to have this feature film on his resume. The down side was the filming was done 2.5 hours away from Phoenix which meant we had to be separated for an entire month. That was really hard being newlyweds but we made the most of it and were lucky enough to visit each other on the weekends. The day after Matt's last day of work we flew to San Francisco, CA for the Pappas Family Reunion (Christine, Matt's mother's side of the family). This was an extra special trip because I had never been to San Francisco and I also was able to meet a lot of Matt's family that weren't at our wedding. The day we arrived there was an afternoon picnic in the park down the road from Matt's Grandfather's house. It was a beautiful day, sunny and cool. We ate lunch, played games and enjoyed each other, especially the new additions to the famliy Maia Sternfeld-Dunn and Darwin McDermott. Later that night we gathered for the Pappas Reunion Soiree which entailed a catered dinner and amazing display of talent. Each member of the family had prepared a song that they dedicated to Ruby Pappas, Matt's Grandmother that passed away Christmas day of 2009. Each of them had a story as to why this particular song meant something or reminded them of Ruby, it was so special and beautiful.
The next day we took the BART into the city and spent the day walking the streets of San Francisco. We met up with Louise, one of Matt's good friends from College and had lunch at a cute little place called Mama's. I have to admit it was really hard for me walking up and down hills all day, and I was moving pretty slow but Matt was really patient with me and was proud of me for being such a trooper. We took a trolly car to Ghirardelli Square and had the most delicious sundaes in the world! We then took a pedi-cab back to the BART and headed home. The city was very crowded and busy but we were very impressed that each time we were on a crowded BART or trolly ride a gentleman gave their seat up for me, and I was very grateful for that with swollen ankles. The next morning we got on an early plane and flew back to reality. We enjoyed our SF visit as short as it was and definitely are excited to plan a longer trip next time.

Some baby updates....

Well I have finally made it into the third trimester. Woooohoooo!!!
It's so nice to see the finish line just ahead. Our last few doctor visits have been great, Audrey is super healthy and is developing as she should. This pregnancy has been going very smoothly. Matt and I have decided Audrey's destine in life is to be a soccer player, with all the practice she has had while in my womb. She is an active baby for sure and it is such a joy to sit with our hands on my belly and feel her every move. We are so excited for her arrival and can't wait to see her! Our next project is getting together the baby's room now that Matt is home and we have a little more time on our hands.

Here are some recent ultrasound photos of our little pumpkin!

And here I am at 28 weeks!

12 more weeks to go!

More updates to come soon...
Peace and Love,
Matt & Cydney
